Happiest of holidays and Dec daily day 2

Hello there!  For the first day this season it feels like Winter outside!  It is all gray and overcast and cold and it looks like it could dump a big, fluffy pile of snow on us at any minute!  There is snow in our forecast, but it is a few days away and probably won't amount to much, but a girl can hope, right?!  Hubby and I have recently started splitting our time between being way down south and farther north and while we are here in the farther north I am keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed that we get one big snow!!  Not a silly dusting, but a snow that is worthy of a day or two of being snowed in and doing the whole soup, Scrabble, snowman building and hot chocolate thing!!  Fun stuff!!!

This is perfect crafting weather, so I spent the morning working on some Christmas cards and on my Dec Daily.  Here is a little bit of what I worked on:

I used the classic Christmas color combo of red, white and green.  I added some silver and plaid to jazz things up a bit!  The plaid and the sentiment stamp are both from my October Paper Pumpkin kit!  I tell you what! I have certainly gotten my pennies worth from this kit!  I have made dozens of cards so far from it and still have lots of goodies left over!  Loooove!

I used the Layering Square Framelits to matte the sentiment on and ran my Whisper White piece of card stock though the Softly Falling embossing folder to mimic the look and feel of snow.  I added a plaid bow from the Holly Berry Builder punch and matted the whole thing against Real Red and then a Whisper White card base.

I was really happy about the way this little guy turned out, so I made a small stack of them!

Thought I would share a little trick I use to save paper!  I cut out my layering square from the middle of my base piece of Real Red. It gets covered up so you won't be able to tell and keeps me from having to cut into another piece of paper!  Win, win!

Here are the goodies that I used to create my cards today:

I also worked a little bit on my Dec Daily!  I am loving doing this project!  Here is my Day 2 spread!  We did some Christmas house decorating on the 2nd!

I used DSP to back my pages and hung some stockings along the top of the page!  I added some fun bows from the Holly Berry punch and a strip of festive Silver Glimmer paper along the bottom of the page!  I matted all of my pictures against Wild Wasabi card stock for an extra touch of green.

Ok, I am off to get those Christmas cards addressed and in the mailbox!  I hope that you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share! :)
