Spongy Christmas cards and more Dec Daily!

Hello there!  Week is just flying by!!  I spent a little time in my stamp room this morning making some more Christmas cards and playing catch up with my December Daily pages!  Still not completely caught up, but making progress and I couldn't be any more pleased and excited about it!!  I had a really silly epiphany this morning too!   It occurred to me (like actually sunk in and resonated with me) that not everything has to be perfect!!  I know...silly, right?!!  I always get so hung up on everything having to be exactly exact though and I think that I am standing in my own way by thinking that!  It is ultimately more important to get pics in a book and write a few notes than not get it done because you are so worried about it not being perfect!  I am going to try really hard to make progress and worry less about perfection!  Do I hear New Year's Resolution?!  I am thinking YES!! LOL  Ok, enough blabbering!  On to the reason you stopped by today:

I wanted to make a no fuss, simple, minimal layers and no frills kind of card today!  I took out the classic Lovely as a Tree stamp set and just started to play around with it!  I stamped the gorgeous pine tree in Emerald Envy and colored in it's trunk with the Dark Crumb Cake Blends marker.  Then I took out some sponges and sponged in the evening sky with Tempting Turquoise and a grassy field with Old Olive. I was so happy with the way it turned out!!  They blended together in such a nice soft way that makes the whole card feel warm and inviting to me!

I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and the snowflakes in Tempting Turquoise.  Both stamps are from the October Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  I added a scrap piece of silver along the bottom and a few silver accent dots that I punched using a hand held hole punch.  The card base and the matted piece are both Whisper White.

I made 5 to add to my Christmas card pile!  They are all the same card, but all look slightly different because of the sponging.

Here are all of the products that I used to make my cards:

Here are the two spreads I made for my December Daily.

Day 3 is time we got to spend with our very sweet Grandson!  He is such a fun kid...literally melts me into a puddle to see him smile!!

Day 4:

Hubby and I went and picked out a tree and then the girls and I added lights!  Such special times!

Ok, on that note I am off to do some laundry and try to figure out a dinner plan!!  Thank you so much for stopping by!  I always love visiting with you!!  Be sure to stop by again soonest!  I have lots more to share!
