Hello there! It is cold and dreary here this morning. Boooooo! Doesn't look like the sun has any intentions of even trying to shine today. Don't know about you, but I sure would love to see Spring make an appearance and actually stay around longer than a day! LOL On that note, I decided I better make my own sunshine, so I headed into my stamp room and made a bright and cheery card! Take a look:
I wanted to use a few more items that we will be saying goodbye to at the end of May. I used the Garden In Bloom stamp set. It is one of my very favorites and I will really hate to see it go. My card base is Chocolate Chip and my layers are Tutti Frutti DSP, Whisper White and Pear Pizzazz.
Garden In Bloom is a beautiful two step stamp set that allows you to color in the outline images with the solid stamps giving you a watercolor look. Easy peasy and sooo pretty!! I stamped my background piece with the small flower and leaf stamps and then went back and stamped in the color! I stamped one large flower outline, stamped in it's color and then fussy cut it. I used the Lovely Words Thinlits to cut out the friends stencil looking image and added the flower to it. Finally, I tucked a leaf sprig behind the flower that I punched out using the leaf punch.
I layered the friend image over a strip from the tutti frutti DSP pack. I wanted to carry the color combo throughout the whole card.
Here are all of the goodies that I used to create my card today:

I am trying to get my stamp room all organized and cleaned up this week. It is a big job! I tend to be a collector of all things craft-y, so there is stuff everywhere! LOL Wish me luck!
P.S. If you don't hear from me for a while...send in some reinforcements (and some chocolate!!)! Thank you kindly!
I will be back soonest with lots more to share!
