Hello there! Can you feel that...?! Fall is in the air! *insert cartwheels into the leaves here!!* Time for pumpkins and apples and scarecrows!! Time for sweaters and cider and that crisp feel in the air. I absolutely love Fall! The colors are stunning and the fun things that come with it soothe the soul. I do believe it is my very favorite season. I was feeling inspired to make a Fall card today! I had lots of fun new goodies to choose from too, because the new holiday catalog is out!!! More details about that in a minute! First, here is my Fall inspired card:
Now doesn't this just make you want to curl up with a good book in a cozy sweater and watch the leaves fall?! I used the gorgeous new stamp set Gourd Goodness to create these pumpkins. It is a Two Step stamp set. I stamped the more solid image first using Crushed Curry and then stamped right on top of it with Pumpkin Pie with the second less solid stamp. That gives it that 3D multi-colored image. The sweet sentiment is from the Count My Blessing stamp set. I just love that script!
I double matted both the main panel and sentiment panel of the card using Cherry Cobbler and Crushed Curry. I stamped falling leaves in the background and added tiny little pops of gold using Gold Glimmer paper and a standard hole punch.
I used the new Leaf Punch to add some leafy pumpkin type vines behind the sentiment and added a little sprig of burlap. The whole thing pulled together pretty well and made me feel like I just walked in from the pumpkin patch!! I am in love with these sweet new pumpkins!
