Lots of hugs!

Hello there!  Are you a hugger?!  I am!  There is just something so comforting about a hug and I try to give them freely!  In fact, I try to incorporate the metaphoric hug into most things I do.  When I send a card I hope that the recipient feels the hug tumble out.  When I have a conversation with someone I always try to leave them feeling hugged (even if it is a phone call or a text!)  Hugs are important!!  I think that is why I am so drawn to card making.  A card can often feel like a hug smooshed into an envelope.   I made a couple of hugs to mail out this morning and thought I would share.  Maybe you will feel inspired to create and mail a hug too!  Here are a couple of mine:

It is hard to see it in the picture, but the background is embossed with the Polka Dot Basics EF.  I am a sucker for anything polka dotted!  I used the soft, sweet color combo of  Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake.  The daisies are stamped, punched out and layered to give them  fuller look. I used 2 per flower.  I stamped tone on tone using Blushing Bride Ink on Blushing Bride paper for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz ink on Pear Pizzazz paper for the leaves. I cut the little banner by hand and added a tiny pop of silver using a standard hole punch.

Lots of layers going on, but I think the color combo keeps it from feeling too busy. The Daisies are from the Daisy Delight stamp set and that great sentiment is from the Lovely Inside and Out stamp set.

Here is a second card using the same supplies (plus a couple!) and color combo, but look how different it looks!!  I love that you can get so many fun looks from the same combination of supplies, by mixing things up!  More mileage for your monies...yes, please!!

I am loving those daisies!!!

Here are the goodies I used to make both of these cards:

Are you feeling inspired to create a hug or two to mail yourself?  I encourage it!  Life needs more hugs!

I hope that you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!
