Hello there!! How are you today? The sun is shining here and it is beautiful out! I was finishing up my coffee this morning, pondering over my day and watching a sweet pair of brown birds flitting around playing tag. It inspired me to pull out my Best Birds stamp set and do some playing too! Birds are really very cool! My favorites are the really long legged ones, but I like them all! LOL Here is the little card I made today:
My card base is Pineapple Punch. I must admit when I first laid eyes on this paper I was not a fan, but now I have 3 packs in my shopping cart just waiting for my next order! I loooooove it! It is bright and happy and kind of makes me want a tall glass of lemonade! My layers are Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla. All of the stamped images are from the Best Birds set. It is a really versatile set!
I wanted to add some subtle color, so I stamped the mesh-y looking stamp twice in Pool Party behind everything! I colored the bird and the branch using the Blends markers and cut them out using the coordinating Thinlits set. I stamped my sentiment and added a few Silver Glimmer accent dots using a standard hole punch.
The bird and branch are resting on a strip of Pineapple Punch that I ran through the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder. I like adding different textures to a project! It makes for a more interesting visual experience!
