Circle Journal Swap fun!

Hello there! Been busy, busy around here!  Wanted to stop by and share a project I have been working on with you though!  Recently, I signed up to be part of a fun swap called a Circle Journal swap.   There are 10 peeps in the swap and everyone makes a journal that will house 10 cards.  Then each person chooses a theme for their journal and makes the first card for their own book.  Then they send their journal to the next person on the list after them.  Each journal makes its way to each person on the list and at the very end your journal comes back to you full of cards in your theme!!  Fun, right?!  I finished up my journal and popped it in the mail this morning.  The theme I chose was a color theme of pink, brown and cream.  Here is the journal that I made:

It measures 5" x 6" and is made from a Crumb Cake base.  The background is embossed with the Tufted Dynamic Embossing folder and the die cuts are all from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits set. I stamped them with the Timeless Textured stamp set to give them some extra visual interest.

I doubled up on the butterflies and added some silver accents dots for a little bit of sparkle.

I made the journal by folding and adhering my pages back to front until I had enough to hold all 10 cards.  It makes a solid little book!

View from the top.

Here is the card I made to start my journal.  It uses my color scheme theme!  I made this butterfly in Blushing Bride though rather than Crumb Cake like on the cover.

Here is the inside of the card.

Here is the card added to the first page of the journal.  I am excited to get the book back full of other cards!  It is always so neat to see other people's creative voice and crafty style. Fun stuff!

Here is a list of the goodies that I used to create my projects:

I hope that you are having a great day!  I will be back soonest with lots more to share with you!
