Mini Album Swap!

Hello!  I have a fun project to share with you today!  I have spent the better part of the last week working on a mini album for a swap I am participating in over at Mini Album Swaps.  I was partnered with my very sweet and wonderful new friend Carol (Hiya Carol!).  We exchanged lots of emails and compared notes and after lots of back and fourth basically decided to just surprise each other with our creations.  In talking to her I learned that she loves purple!  I also learned that this album was going to be for her to record some of her interests and memories so I wanted to try to make it special.  I have oodles of photos so grab a cuppa, settle in and take a look:
The front has some store bought flowers and some hand made ones!  All of the butterflies are punches that I punched, layered and added Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds to.  The leaves are from the Sweetest Stems Big Shot die and the bling swirls are from a package of store bought embellishments.  I made the tag and covered it with vellum and put her initial smack in the middle.

View from the top. It is a 6 x 6 mini.  It may look small, but there are tons and tons of places for pictures, souvenirs and journaling in here!  Lots of fold outs and tags and hidden pockets!

Close up of the cover.

First page has three large pull out tags.

Tags pulled out!

Page two has pockets that open up with tags inside and pockets and tags underneath,  Here the top pockets are laying flat.

Here they are opened up.

These are the two tags from the pocket.  One is flat and the other opens up like an accordion.

One of the tags from the fold out pockets.

Both tags together.

Next page.  I made a pocket using the large scallop circle big shot die.  It holds three pull out tags.

Tags that fit into flower pocket.

Page without it's tags.

Next page. Pockets made from torn paper.

Page with large tag taken out.  The strip is only adhered down on the sides so Carol can tuck something into it.  She can add pictures or journaling to the tag front, back and the empty space the tag came from.

Other half of torn paper.  Two more tags perfect for journaling of adhering souvenirs!

Next set of pages has fold out pockets with more tags!

Back side of fold out pocket.  Tag comes out!

Tag from fold out pocket.

Other half of that set of pages.  Tags in both of these pockets.

Pockets folded out.

Next page with two fold out accordion mini books.

Last page with fold up flaps for pictures, notes, journaling, etc

Pages all flip up to make lots of room!

I had the absolute best time making this album and Carol you are the sweetest person ever, but I believe that I have had my fill of purple for a while! :)   LOL   I sure hope she likes it!

Ok, well I have a very full day today so I am off!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  Have a great Friday!
