Background....check!

Hi there!  I have such a simple and fun technique to share with you today!  I used the discarded plastic wrap from my Paper Pumpkin this month to make my background for today's card!!  I absolutely love this technique!!  You can get so many great looks from it!!  Curious...?! Here is the card I made:

What do you think?  Isn't that background really unique looking?!  We are quickly coming up on Thanksgiving and Fall will be a thing of the past before we know it, so I am trying to squeeze in a few more Fall feeling projects!  I  thought this technique would be perfect for creating a Fall looking background.  It looks a lot like the pattern you would find in brightly colored leaves that have fallen to the ground to me.

Here is a closer look at that pattern!  *swoons!*  I just really love the way it looks!

I used the Everyday Label punch for my sentiment and backed it with a frame.  Details on that below!  I added a leaf sticker from the September Paper Pumpkin kit and a strip of paper from the Painted Autumn DSP pack.  Funny how such a little bit can go such a long ways!

This is what I used to create this neat background.  I literally smooshed the plastic wrap up, patted it on the ink pad and then onto the paper!  Then I repeated it with the next color! I highly recommend that you try it!  So.Much.Fun!!

To make my label frame I punched one in Whisper White and a second one in Pumpkin Pie.

Then I cut the PP one in half in the middle and adhered them to the ends of the Whisper white one.

Looks like this!  You could do the same with a second one for the top and bottom by cutting it the opposite direction.  You would need to cut that one at an angle on the corners though to eliminate the extra corners.

Here are the goodies I used to create this card today:

I am off to start making the house ready for Thanksgiving!  We celebrate three times and Saturday's dinner will be here!  Fingers crossed that all four of our kiddos and grands will be here! Did I mention that Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday?

Have a super day and I will be back soonest with more to share!
