Keep calm and be thankful!

Hi there!!  Happy weekend to you!  Wind is blowing and it is all gray and overcast here!  Feels  a lot like Fall is blowing in!  I have been hanging out in my craft room all morning and working on a tri fold shutter card.  Remember those fun things?  I decided I wanted to make one today, but didn't have any 12 x 12 paper on hand, so I played around with measurements until I made it work for an 8 1/2" piece! Here is what I came up with:

Tri fold card full of Thanksgiving goodness!  This little guy was a lot of fun to make! I figured it would make a great greeting card or a table decoration for the big turkey day!  These are neat to make because there are so many little panels to decorate.  Lots of room to get creative!  Possibilities are literally limitless!

Here is it all folded up.  If I decide to mail it I think I will make a belly band to wrap around it to encourage it to stay closed.

This shows off all the fun folds and bends! Mountain, valley, mountain, valle....

View from the top.

First panel.  I used the large leaf stamp and sentiment from the September Paper Pumpkin kit.

Leaves and sentiment here are also both from My Paper Pumpkin kits.  All of the DSP is from the Painted Harvest pack.  Card base is Chocolate Chip.

Sentiments here are from Gourd Goodness and a Paper Pumpkin kit.  I made the pumpkin by adhering three circle punches together and adding a leaf from the Leaf punch and hand cutting a stem from a scrap.  I also added gold accent dots from Gold Glimmer paper using a standard hole punch.

Here are the construction details for this little guy:

I started with a piece of card stock measuring 4 1/4" x 8 1/2".

I scored it at 2", 4 1/2",  6 1/2" and 9 1/2".

Then starting at the first score line (2") and running down to the last score line (9 1/2") I made a cut measuring in 1 1/2" from both long sides.

Here is what it looks like with DSP on the panels, but pre-decorated.  The panels sizes are:

2 outside edges.....1 3/4" x 4"
1st row (across)......2 1/4" x 1 1/4", 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" and  2 1/4" x 1 1/4"
2nd row (across).......2 1/4" x 1 1/4", 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" and 2 1/4" x 1 1/4"
3rd row (across).........2 1/4" x 1 1/4", 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" and 2 1/4" x 1 1/4"

Here are the products that I used to make this little guy:

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  Thank you for visiting!  Always nice to hang out with you!   I will be back soonest with more to share!
