Happy Birthday!

Good morning! :)  I was looking over my calendar last night and realized that oodles of important people in my life have birthdays this month!  That means lots of birthday cards!  WoooHoooo!!  To me giving a birthday card (or any card for that matter!) is like giving someone an envelope full of hugs!   So, I started working on birthday cards (hugs!) last night!   Thought I would share one with you today.

This was a fun card to make!  Lots of rounded edges to give the card a soft feel.  Lots of textures and dimension.  The sentiment is popped up off of the stamped image.

I used the 1 1/4" Scallop circle to make the flower.  I just love this cute little guy!  *Exciting news....there is an even smaller one in the new Spring mini that goes live tomorrow!!  This one will still always have a place in my heart though! :)

The stamped image is from Lacy and Lovely and is so pretty that I felt a little bad covering it up!

Close up of the flower. The center uses the same EF (Fancy Fan) as the border, but is reversed. I punched it and then clipped between each scallop to create flower petals.

Fun, fun card! :)  I hope the recipient feels the hug when she opens the envelope!

  3. Very pretty! I love the reversal of the embossing folder on the blue and pink border, so cool!! Snipping the scallops to create petals is brilliant and I never remember to do that...
