Happy New Year!!! Welcome 2013!!
This card has lots of textures and uses some of my favorites things...pink, shimmer and bling!
I think that lots of layers make for visual interest!
I made the champagne glass using punches. See picture below for details.
I learned a cool trick for banner making recently at a Stampin Up! Regional that I attended. If you take your strip of paper and cut up into it on the end in the center and then make your diagonal cuts from each corner to the end of the cut it comes out pretty darn perfect every time! Banners are so much fun and can really add a little something to your project!
Here are the details for making a punch art champagne glass. I used the smallest oval for the base which is retired now, but you could substitute the edge of any current circle punch, the end of the Decorative Label punch or even the the end of the Curly Label punch to get the same effect. :)
Project Details:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Whisper White, Gold Shimmer and Silver Glitter
Ink: Melon Mambo
Punches and Dies: Stripes BS EF, Polka Dot BS EF, Small Oval (retired), Extra Large Oval punch, Typeset BS Alphabet dies, Scallop Border punch
Extras: Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, White Gel Pen and Rhinestones
We said goodbye to and rung in the new year with some very dear old friends last night! It was a great way to get the year started! :) I hope that your new year will be full of positive changes, happy challenges, good health and lots of love and good times!
I will be back soonest with more crafty-ness to share! Have a wonderful day!
What a wonderful card! Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteI just had to pop in and get another look at your wonderful card! The layers are fabulous and so is the punch art glass! If you heard a thud followed by a smack, that was my chin hitting the keyboard, and my hand slapping my forehead over your banners tip! Um.... DUH! Now why didn't I ever think of that???
ReplyDeleteHope you have the happiest of new years and that all of your crafty resolutions become a reality!
Super cute and creative. Best wishes for 2013, Ann Marie!
