Thanks a ton!

Hello!   Happy Thursday!  I have had a whirlwind of a day and the time has managed to get away from me, but I am here now!  I have a tiny little 3 x 3 card to share with you today.  It is always a good idea to keep some thank you cards on hand so I have been playing with a few ideas!  Here is one that I put together this morning:

Isn't he just the cutesy little guy?!  Like his pink toenails?!

I used markers for all of the coloring.  I matted it against the fun Polka Dotted DSP and the card base is whisper white.  I thought it would be cute to make some of these in each of the colors from that DSP pack!  Can't you just see a Pumpkin Pie colored elephant now? LOL  Matching envelopes from the same DSP would make this the perfect little card!

This image is from the SAB stamp set Patterned Occasions.

Details:
Stamps: Patterned Occasions
Paper: Whisper White, Polka Dot DSP
Ink: Marina Mist (marker), Primrose Petals (marker) and Garden Green (marker)
Punches and Dies: none
Extras: none

I left off the product numbers, but if you have any questions about anything just give me a holler! :)

Oodles of important folks in my life have birthdays this month so I am on a roll with the cards!

Lots of fun little details!  I embossed the background and the small strip to match.  I  2 step stamped the flowers and fussy cut them out.  After I got them all positioned I added some Dazzling Details for a little extra sparkle.

The large flower is popped up on a dimensional.  I kept the sentiment simple. It is from the Up, Up and Away set.

Close up of the flower.  I love 2 step stamping!!  Such a small thing that offers so much wow!

Pinwheel fun!

Hey there! Happy Tuesday to you!  I have such a fun happy card to share with you today!  I got a new box of goodies last night and had so much fun playing with them.  One of my new goodies is the cute new Pinwheel sizzlets die from the Spring catalog.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on this little thing!  Take a look at what it does:

Aren't those adorable? You run them through the Big Shot and then fold the corners in to make little pinwheels!  I thought these would be really cute on a scrap book page too!  I also used the Honeycomb EF.  It makes a wonderful textured background!

This picture shows off the pinwheels from another angle!  I thought the polka dotted paper made them even cuter!  You just can't go wrong with polka dots! LOL

Fun, fun, fun!!  I stamped the sentiment on plain Very Vanilla paper and punched it out with a circle punch but decided not to matte it.  I liked the way the simple plain paper looked against the Honeycomb background.  I did pop it up though on a dimensional.

Details:
Stamps: Field Flowers (w#122760 /c#122762)
Paper: Crumb Cake (#120953), Very Vanilla (#101650) and Polka Dot Parade DSP (#126902)

Extras: Brads (#119741) and Dimensionals (#104430)

Off to tackle my To Do list! Hope that you have a wonderful day!

Valentine's Day treat!

Hello! Happy Monday! I have a quick little Valentine's Day treat to share with you today. You could whip a bunch of these up in no time! Take a look:

I used the Two Tags Die to make this. I had to shorten the lollipop stick to make it fit, but then was able to tuck it right into the opening on the tag.

I used the hearts from the Hearts A Flutter Framelits.  I popped it up on a dimensional and added a cute little button.

You can tuck a little love note into the back! Quick, fun treat holders! Yay!

Details:
Stamps: Tiny Tags (#w 118091/ c #118592)
Paper: Crumb Cake (#120953)

Christmas card #4!!

Hello!  I have another Christmas card to share with you today!  Week #4...card #4...yay!!  It is cold and snowy and icy out today so making a Christmas card wasn't tough at all this week! :)   Fa la la la la la la la laaaaaa!
Simple green, white and crumb cake with just a touch of red and silver offers a nice cozy feeling!

I embossed the background and layered the punches behind the sentiment.  I decorated the tree with Silver and Red Dazzling Details.  The star is cut from the beautiful silver glimmer paper!  I just cannot get enough of that stuff!

Happy Birthday...You're Amazing!

Hello!  Happy weekend to you!  I have a birthday card to share with you today using a really fun stamp set! I must admit when I first saw this set I didn't really think it was anything to write home about, but after using it a few times it has stolen my heart!  I needed to make a masculine birthday card and we all know what that means...no bows, no buttons no ribbon, no bling.  Hard, hard, hard! LOL   Here is my card today:
Masculine colors, masculine images, masculine shapes!  Not a sparkle or shimmer anywhere to be found!

Close up!

Details:
Stamps: You're Amazing (w #126720/ c # 126722)
Paper: Early Espresso (#119686), Baja Breeze (#111352), Crumb Cake (#120953)
Ink: Soft Suede (# 126978)
Punches and Dies: Apothecary Accents Framelits (# 127003)
Extras: Mini Brads Silver (#122941)

Hope you are having a great weekend!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Thinking about you!

Good morning! Brrrr!  It is so dang cold here today!  We are expecting some sleet and snow this morning so  when the first flake fell I popped out of bed and grabbed my camera so I could get a picture of my project before the sky opened up.  So, there I am outside...in my pajamas...fighting with the cat (who frequently insists on helping with the pictures!)...fighting with the cold...and battling the elements (do three snowflakes count as elements?!).  Wouldn't you know it though?!  As soon as I took my pictures the flakes stopped falling! LOL  I have a simple but sweet card to share with you today. :)

Have you played with this pre-embossed DSP?  Wowee-wow-wow is it ever beautiful!!  I used it as one of my layers here and I just love it!!  I made the three little flowers from punches because they sort of mimic-ed the design on the the paper which sort of mimic-ed the shape of the main image.  This is  the first time I have inked up this stamp.  It is such a pretty image. It has lots of detail (which I love!) but doesn't feel at all busy.  I think this cutie is going to wind up getting lots of ink time!

I added the strip of Very Vanilla to break up the background which I think added a little interested to the card.  I used the Paper Piercing Essentials pack and Poker tool and added a simple line of holes.  I also added a tiny little drop of Dazzling Details to the center of each of the pre-embossed images.  I like my bling!  ;)

Details:
Stamps: Just Thinking (#129940)
Paper: Early Espresso (#119686), Very Vanilla (#101650), Melon Mambo (#115320) and Natural Composition Specialty DSP (#126917)
Ink: Early Espresso (#126974)
Punches and Dies: Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (#118309), Windows Framelits (#129021)
Extras: Rhinestones (#119246),  Dazzling Details (#124117), Essentials Paper Piercing Pack (#126187) and Piercing Tool (#126189)

Hope you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!

Boxy Valentine Love!

Hello!  I had so much fun putting together my project for today!!  It uses some of my all time favorite things!!  Polka dots, pink, hearts and shimmering glitter-y pizzazz!!  Valentine's Day is just around the corner so I have heart filled gifts and goodies on the brain!  Want to see what I made this morning?!

This is a 3 x 3 card, but don't let it's tiny little size fool you!  It actually holds all of the love of a 12 x 12 card! LOL

Lots of layers and fun textures!  This little card is totally capable of brightening someone's day all on it's own, but I didn't stop there!  LOL  Take a look at what I snazz-ied on up to go with it!!

A matching box!!  You can buy a whole set of these boxes from Stampin Up! and decorate them up any way you like!  They are only $2.95 for 4 of them and they hold oodles of goodies!!

I made a fluffy carnation to go on top and added some leaves from the Bird Builder punch! (they are bird wings, but I think they make perfect leaves! :)  I made the polka dots with a sponge dauber (aren't they just adorable?!).  I learned this neat trick from a Regional event I attended.

Close up of the flower.  This is made from a scallop circle punch!

Close up of the hearts.  I thought these looked like the candy hearts they sell during the Valentine's Day season with the little words on them!  I was excited to discover that the smallest heart from the Hearts Framelits nests perfectly in the smallest heart from Hearts A Flutter!  WoooHoooo!

Here is my little gift set pictured together!  All ready to be filled and delivered to someone special! :)

Details:
Stamps: Pennant Parade (w 122740/ c 122742) and You are Loved (w 123777/ c 123779)

Funny fold Valentine!

Good morning! :)   I have a funny fold Valentine's day card to share with you today!  This is one of my very favorite card folds ever.  It is so simple to do and offers a lot of Wow! Win/win!   I am sure there is a tutorial floating around out there somewhere, but I will offer measurements and basic layering instructions after the pictures.

The card is square and lays flat when closed.

First large panel opens up to reveal a smaller panel.

Smaller panel opens up to reveal the inside of the card!  Weeeee!

I went with traditional red and white for this love card, but think I will play around with some other colors and see what I can come up with!

Details:
Stamps: Tiny Tags and Heart A Flutter
Paper:Real Red and Very Vanilla
Ink: Real Red
Punches and Dies: Large Heart Punch, Mini Labels Punch, Petite Label Punch, Hearts A Flutter Framelits and Square lattice EF
Extras: White Gel Pen and Dimensionals

Ok, to make this you want to:
((**These instructions work UP from the bottom layer!!!))
1) Cut your bottom layer  4 3/4" x 7"
2) Score it at 4 1/2" and fold over towards the left
3) Cut next layer 4" x 4" and adhere to base of card
4) Cut next layer 3 3/4" x 7 1/2", score it at 3 3/4" fold over towards the right. Adhere to 4 x 4 piece making sure that the fold goes in the opposite direction from first fold (See picture above for clarification!)
5) Cut next layer (very top piece) 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and adhere to top
6) Cut small piece to 2 1/4" x 4 1/2" and adhere to small panel

Easy peasy!

I am off to tackle my To Do list!
Hope that you have a wonderful day and I will be back soonest with more to share!

Stair step birthday card!

Hey there!  How are you today?!  Doing well, I hope!  Have you ever tried making a stair step card?  I have wanted to try for a while and finally sat down today to make one.  What a fun thing!!  Lots of room to be creative with this card. What do you think?

This card stands on it's own so all of the different layers show themselves off at once!
I water colored the flowers using an Aqua Painter and layered one on top of another to add dimension.

It folds flat and will fit nicely into a regular card sized envelope for mailing.

I went with the classic black, red and cream for this card.  That combo just looks so elegant to me!

Lots of details crammed into this little guy makes for a fun card. :)

Details:
Stamps:  Mixed Bunch, Fabulous Florets and You're Amazing
Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Garden Green and Silver Glimmer Paper
Ink: Real Red and Old Olive
Punches and Dies: Decorative Label punch, Blossom punch, 2 Step Bird Punch, Itty Bitty Punch set and Beautiful Wings Embosslit
Extras: Dimensionals, Dazzling Details and Aqua Painter

If you would like to try one of these cards you can find a great tutorial here.

Have a wonderful day! See you soon!
