Oh hello!

Hi there!  I have the neatest thing to show you!  I created a back ground for my card today using the actual whole stamp pad as the stamp!!  I saw this done recently and couldn't wait to try it!  Take a look a this:

What do you think?!  Is that not the coolest thing?  I just flipped the pad upside down on the paper and gently pressed down around the edges.  When you pick it up it leaves a splotchy, worn looking imprint!  You can vary this by adding more or less pressure.   So cooool!  I stamped the sentiment directly onto the paper and then stamped the flower and cut it out using the Big Shot Oval die.  It is retired now, but has been replaced by the new Oval framelits.

I love that the ink left a slightly raised edge.

Close up of the flower image!  I used markers straight to stamp to color it.

This is a quick, simple card that offers a lot of bang for the buck!  If you haven't tried this technique you definitely should!!  I plan to use it a lot!
