Hello, hello, hello!! Day 2 of the new year and I am sooooo excited!! Tomorrow starts one of the most fun and wonderful events at Stampin' Up! and it has me bouncing!! This card uses the new Hello Cupcake stamp set. I got it free when I placed my $50.00 order!! It is soooo cute!! I happen to be a BIG fan of cupcakes (big, big fan!!), so I knew I needed this set!
My base layer is Petal Pink and the the other layers are Very Vanilla and Bermuda Bay. I stamped 2 layers of flowers on the background and then stamped my cupcake. This is a 2-Step stamp set which means you can layer stamps to create one image. I stamped the cupcake liner in Bermuda Bay, the yummy cake in Soft Suede and the mountain of icing (yes, please!!) in Melon Mambo! I added the sentiment using Bermuda Bay.
I wanted there to be a little more going on with this card, so I layered a couple of strips of paper over on the left hand side. I embossed the base layer with the Scattered Sequins Embossing folder and the BB strip with the Sparkle Embossing folder and finally the PP banner with the Basket Weave Embossing folder. I added half of a 1" Circle punch using Silver Glimmer paper to the top. I love sparkle!
