Hi there!! Hope your week is off to a great start! I have been playing with some of my new goodies from the new Occasions catalog today! Are you a butterfly fan? I love butterflies sooooo much!! They just seem so sweet and happy all the time to me. I wanted to use some of the new butterfly products on my card today, so this is what I came up with:
My card base is Basic Black and my layers are Melon Mambo and Whisper White! They make for a stunning color combination! My sentiment is from Butterfly Gala and I stamped it using Stazon Black ink.
I embossed most of the Whisper White piece using the Basket Weave embossing folder. I left the right hand side flat so that I could easily stamp the sentiment. I used the Butterfly Beauties Thinlits and cut out the bottom later in Melon Mambo and then the top layer in Basic Black. I adhered the top layer to the bottom one and then adhered them both to the card. I added a few Silver Glimmer accent dots using the Bitty Blooms punch pack.
I wanted to give the card a little bit more dimension so I cut out a second layer of the largest butterfly and adhered the body down and left the wings folded slightly upwards! It makes him look like he just landed on the card!! Fun stuff!
