You are so thoughtful!

Hello there!  Weekend is here!!  Do you have any big plans?  Hubby and I have a full weekend ahead, but we are taking tonight off from everything else and going on a date.  I am so excited!  Date night with hubby is one of my very favorite things!  It is so easy to get caught up in the busy that life throws at you and down time with the folks you care about is so important.

My morning started with coffee, laundry and some time in my stamp room; which is another one of my favorite things!  (The stamp room time and coffee, not the laundry!) I needed a thank you card, so this is what I came up with today:

My card base is Very Vanilla and my layers are Crushed Curry and Soft Suede.  I wanted a simple and clean card today and a warm, easy color combo.  I started by embossing the middle Very Vanilla piece of card stock with the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder and then layered it against the Crushed Curry and Soft Suede.  Is it just me or do those colors just scream sunflower?!

I stamped the daisy stamp from Delightful Daisy twice and punched them both out with the coordinating Daisy punch.  The sentiment is also from the same set.

I stamped some leaves from Painted Harvest and punched those out using the coordinating Leaf Punch. The center is stamped using Soft Suede and punched out using the 1/2" Circle punch.  I tucked in a few extra Sprig punches in Crumb Cake and added a few Copper Foil accent dots.

I left the inside free of any sentiments, but did stamp a daisy to pull the whole card together. I stamped it once letting the stamp 'fall' off of the page and then turned the stamp and stamped it a second time for a nice full looking flower.

Want to know what I used to make my card today?  Here are the links to everything:

As always, thank you so much for stopping by!  It is always so nice to visit with you!  Be sure to stop back by soonest!  I have some big changes and exciting new things planned!!
