Amazing Daisy!

Hello there!  Hope that you had a nice holiday.  It's always a little discombobulating when a holiday falls in the middle of the week and your have to adjust your schedule around it.  It always seems to throw me off!  Anyhow, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

One of my very sweet friends contacted me recently and told me about someone that she knew that was going through a tough time.  She asked me if I could make a card for her to brighten her spirits.  I was happy to do it, because I know first hand what a bright, happy card with a little note in it can do for you. Just that simple gesture can really touch your heart and it lets you know you're not alone in your struggle. It got me to thinking about how stamping has connected me to so many wonderful people and has made a truly significant impact on my life.  Stamping for the win...yay!

Since I was hanging out in my stamp room anyhow I put together a second card and thought I'd share it with you guys!  I super duper heart the new Delightful Daisy stamp set and coordinating punch.  They have been my go to lately for so many projects.  Here is the card I made this morning:

This is one of my favorite color combos!  I used the new Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing folder on the bottom of the card and again on the top piece of Whisper White paper.  That thing creates a gorgeous deep embossed image!  I ruffled up the edges of the small Crumb Cake piece and added lots of layers to the card.  The daisy is popped up on a Dimensional and the small strip of Crumb Cake is stamped with an image from the Delightful Daisy set.

I punched the center of the daisy out using a 1/2" Circle punch and punched the tiny circles from the Holiday Builder Berry punch.  Lots of things going on here for some fun visual interest.

Here are all of the products I used to make my card:

They are all clickable and will take you directly to my store if you are feeling the need to do some on line shopping! :)

Thought I'd also share a few pictures form our 4th celebration last night:

The fireworks display was awesome!

So were the s'mores!

I'm a big fan of the s'more! It was a really nice evening.

Time for me to get busy with my day!  Hope yours is a good one.  I'll be back soonest with more to share.
