Tidings of comfort and joy...comfort and jooooy!

Hello there!  Happy Tuesday!  Hope your week is off to a good start!  I have another Christmas card to share with you today.  I am getting ready for my  Christmas in July class this week and so I have Christmas spirit spilling out all over the place.  I wish you could all come to class!  I'd love to have you!  There will be cookies. :)  Ok, on to my card:

I wanted a sleek, simple, elegant card.  Sometimes simple is really beautiful!

I embossed the card bottom with the Holly Textured Embossing Folder and added the dressed up strip of red and gold just above it.  I stamped one single sentiment from the Christmas Pines set and that is it!  I normally feel a compelling need to fill in my white space with something, but I let it go this time!

I used both the Blossom Builder and Pansy punch to create the flower.  The Pansy flower was smaller than I wanted, so I combined the two.  The Garden Green leaves are from the Flourish Thinlits set and tucked nicely right under the Real Red flower.

I got the soft look by rolling up each punched piece and peeling apart the layers. The bottom layer is made from 2 1/2 large Blossom petals (peeled apart) and the top is made from 2 1/2 Pansy layers (also peeled apart).  I topped the whole thing with the center from the Blossom Builder punch (in gold)  and then a Gold Faceted Gem.

Here are the products I used to create this card:

Lots to do today, so I'm going to roll!  Hope your day is a good one!  I will be back soonest with more to share!  Until then...craft a little!  It's good for your soul!
