Hello there! How are you? Hope you are having a nice day! I have one of my very favorite projects ever to share with you today. I have been making these forever. I love them because they are a very quick and easy go to gift that make the recipient feel love, love, loved! It is a box shaped hug and also happens to double as a container for chocolate goodness! Take a look:
It is a gift box made from one sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock!! I usually make a matching 3" x 3" card to go with it. I love to throw these little guys together because there is no waste. They hold a whole bag of candy and are easy to gift. After the candy has been thoroughly enjoyed you can use the box to hold other things. I store cards to be mailed in mine! You can go wild decorating them or simply stamp a pretty design and you are done! Fun stuff!
Here is my little 3" x 3" card. I stamped the rose from the Grace Garden set by coloring it with markers and then stamping. I used the large background stamp in the same set to stamp the little Blushing Bride strip. I used the Decorative Ribbon Border punch for the pretty little piece sticking out from that.
I fussy cut the flowers from the Petal Garden DSP pack (loving that paper!!) and added my sentiment on top with dimensionals. I cut it out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals Framelits. I stamped the background with a stamp from Christmas Pines in Powder Pink. (always fun to think outside of the box with seasonal stamps!) Added a couple of Gold Faceted Gems for a bit of sparkle and called her done!
The lovely decorative strip on the top is also from the Decorative Ribbon Border punch. The fun thing about that punch is that you can flip the punched out piece upside down for a totally different look. I absolutely love a product that offers variety!

Ok, start with a standard sheet of card stock of your choice measuring 8 1/2" x 11". On the 8 1/2" side sore at 2" and at 6 1/2".
Flip your paper and on the 11" side score at 4 1/2" and 6 1/2". You should have what looks like a tic tac toe board scored into your paper now.
Cut 'v' shaped notches out where the score lines intersect as pictured above. I would highly recommend decorating, stamping, doodling and dressing your box now while it is still flat! Keep in mind which sides will be up though when doing so, so your design isn't upside down on one side!
Fold on all of your score lines and start to fold the paper into a box shape. Adhere your small tabs to the large tabs first using the adhesive of your choice.
Fold the other large tabs up and adhere over the small tabs so they are hidden inside. There you have it! A little gift box all ready for the filling and giving!
