Well, hello! Is it raining on you today? It is so soggy here!! It feels like it has literally been raining for days! I love a good rainstorm, but wow-ee-wow-wow! Lots of rain!! It does make for good crafting though! I am having the best time playing with all of my new Designer Series paper from Stampin' Up! The colors are all so vibrant and rich looking. Have I mentioned that I [heart] paper!! Today is day 3 of my week long paper project share and I made a card with a matching lined envelope! It's the little things! LOL
This paper is from the Painted Autumn pack and can be found on pg. 49 of the Holiday catalog. The leafy design is on one side and the striped green pattern below the kitty is on it's back side. Lovely shades of green! I made a gold sparkly collar complete with a heart shaped Gold Enamel shape for the punched kitty and added her on with dimensionals.
The sentiment is recessed into the card rather than being on top of the designer paper. I made a Crumb Cake card base and then added a Very Vanilla layer. I used the Layering Circles to cut out a circle from the Very Vanilla and then topped both of those with a piece of Designer paper. I used a larger circle die and cut out a circle in the same spot so it would look like a matted frame. I added a piece of Pear Pizzazz behind the whole thing and stamped the sentiment on that.
Since this week is all about the DSP (Designer Series Paper!) I added a matching envelope liner by cutting a piece of DSP a little bit smaller than the envelope, scored it, rounded the edges and glued that little guy right in there! It adds a very nice finished look to the whole thing.

Do you know about Stampin' Ups! big paper sale?!! I was sooooo excited to get my order today with some of the DSP on the sales list! I have so many projects in mind!! I really think I am going to have to give up something in my day to make room for more crafting time...I am leaning heavily towards house work! *giggles!* Here are some of my new papers! Wheeeeeee!!

This is a great card! I love that you stamped the sentiment on colored paper. I somehow forget that I can use something other than white! The envies is the perfect finishing touch.
