Sticky note junkie!!

Happy Friday to you and you and you...!!  Are you a list maker? Or a note jotter downer?  Or a sticky note person?  I am forever jotting things down and making lists and oh my do I ever loooove my sticky notes!!  I have Post-Its stuck all over the place!!  I usually have 2 or 3 pads of them sitting out on my desk and this morning I got a wild hair and decided to dress one of them up!!  I thought it would be nice to have a decorated cover that I could leave sitting out on display holding a lovely stack of Post-its!  Here is what I came up with:

I seriously {heart} this stamp set!  It is called Magical Mermaid and it just sings to me!!  Every time I pull it out and ink it up, it makes me want to go walking on the beach!!  Ah, the beach!!  *snaps back to reality!*  Where were we...?!  Ok, I started by measuring my post it note pad and then cut my cover down to the correct size.  I made the cover 1/4" larger than the pad so it would slightly over lap.  I scored a small channel in the center so the covers would wrap around the pad like a book.

Here it is open with the pad glued into it.  I added a small pocket on the left hand side to hold more notes, or receipts or other loose tidbits for safe keeping!

My post it note cover is Tranquil Tide and I layered a piece of Whisper White on top.  I stamped the sand and sponged it with Sahara Sand ink and then sponged in the water with Pool Party.  I stamped the seaweed in Tranquil Tide and Pear Pizzazz and stamped the greeting in Dapper Denim. I stamped the background mermaids in Sahara Sand and covered them with the Wink of Stella glitter pen!  So much shimmer!!  I stamped the large mermaid on a sepeaate piece of Whisper White and colored her in with Blends alcohol markers and also covered her in glitter!  I fussy cut her and added her on top with Dimensionals.  Fun, little project!

Here are all of the goodies that I used to create my post it note cover today:

Have any fun weekend plans?  We are tossing around a few ideas, but haven't decided what we are going to do yet!  Whatever it is, I am thrilled that the weekend is here!!

Thank you again for stopping by!  Always nice to visit with you!!
