Talk to you...

Hey there. Today has been kind of a tough day for me.  I debated whether or not to even make a blog post.  Today is the one year anniversary of my Mom passing away. My heart feels heavy and I just feel really, really sad, but I decided ultimately that it was better to share my words and remember Mom out loud.  If you are not interested in reading this today I totally understand and hopefully I will see you again tomorrow! :)

My Mom was an amazing person.  Kind and happy and so sweet to everyone.  She always saw the good in every situation.  She was a photographer and I think because of that she saw the world in a very different way than most folks.  She found beauty in everything.  My Mom and I were a team.  She would often joke that I did as much raising of her as she did of me.  Losing my Mom was one of the hardest things I have even been through in my life. I still have days where I can feel a physical ache and it hits me so hard that she is gone that I have to remind myself to take in a breath.  She was my biggest supporter, my sounding board and my best friend.  We talked every single day and to go from that to her just being gone has been a really tough transition for me.  I miss her more than words can begin to describe.  My life has changed, I have changed.  I urge you to hug your loved ones because you really just never know what tomorrow will look like.

I decorated another journal today.  I think it is important to get your feelings onto paper.  Thought I would share it here with you:

I purchased a traveler's notebook to journal in.  I used Bubbles and Fizz DSP to cover it with.  I added Crumb Cake after tearing the edge.  I ran a layer of Very Vanilla through the Polka Dot Embossing Folder and added a scrap of strip to the side.  I created my flower using the Blossom Builder punch.

The sentiment is from the So Many Shells stamp set.  The little butterfly is from a past Paper Pumpkin kit.  I added a few silver glimmer accents dots that I punched using a standard hole punch.

Here are all of the products that I used to decorate my journal today:

Thank you for stopping by today!  If you made it all the way to the end, I appreciate you!  I will be back tomorrow with a fun sampler project.  Big, big hug.
