Grateful for you friend!

Hello there!  So starts another week!  Ready for it?! I woke up this morning feeling like I want to get oodles accomplished this week!  I flipped my day upside down and did my walking first thing and managed to get all 10,000 steps (my daily goal!) in by 11:00am!  Woooo!  Then on to my daily creating and I came up with a friendly little card that I intend to mail out as soon as I finish this blog post!

Here is the card I created today:

I needed it to be a masculine card and it seems that one of my masculine go to stamp sets is Lovely As a Tree.  I just love that set.  You want to talk about versatile?! You can use that guy for so many things!!  Today it is to let a special friend know just how much they mean to me.  I started by embossing my card base with the Simple Stripes EF.  Then I started layering away!

Each layer is a little bit different.  The bottom layer is Chocolate Chip and just plain and cut to size.  The next layer is Crumb Cake and I ruffled up the edges with my thumb nail to give it some character.  The final layer is Whisper White and I stamped it with a teeny tiny stamp from Bunch of Blossoms and tore the edge for a nice frayed look.

I added the sentiment which is three layers as well mimic-ing the original layered pattern.  I added some bright gold leaves and a strip on the far side from the Decorative Ribbon Border punch to give it a balanced feel.  I just love the look layering gives!

Close up of all the fun details at once! :)

Here are all of the supplies that I used today:

Take a few minutes to make a card and let someone special know that you are thinking of them!  Life is so short and can be very unpredictable.  Much love to you, my friends!  Thank you for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing you next time.
