Outside of the box!

Well, hello there!  Happy Friday to you!  So, let me ask...are you one of those folks that gets a stamp set and happily uses it just as it was intended or are you one of those folks that noodles it around and around in your head trying to come up with alternate uses?  I am definitely the latter!  It makes my heart so happy when I manage to come up with alternate uses for a stamp set!!  I did just that today!!  I used the set Lots of Lavender yesterday and one of the stamps in the set has been dancing around in my brain since then!  I sat down today to play and this is what I came up with:

Do you recognize the stamp that I used to crate this flower?!!  It is the solid stamp that you use to fill in the lavender!!  There is a picture below to show you exactly which one I mean.  I stamped that little guy around in a circle until I got this lovely flower shape!!  Then I did it again keeping my centers closer together for the top layer!

I fussy cut both shapes out and adhered them together using Dimensionals.  I punched out a 1 1/4" Circle and ran it through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder for the center.  I used the same stamp to make my leaves.  I was so excited to see this flower bloom to life!!
