Happy birthday to our youngest kiddo!!

Hello there!!  Today is a really special day to me!  It is our youngest kiddo's birthday and we couldn't be any more proud of her!  She is such an awesome kid!  She is sweet and spunky and smart and ambitious and funny and adorable and...I could go on! :)  My card today is for her and was inspired by her!

In other exciting news, the stamp set that I used to create this card is from the new Occasions catalog and it goes live today!!!!  You can check it out by clicking on it over there----------------> or by going to my website (Click above on Shop with me!) or if you would like a paper copy just send me an email to let me know and I will get one right out to you!

On to today's card:
Ever flip through a new catalog and a set just jumps out at you and you know you have to, have to, have to have that set?  That is exactly what happened to me with this set!  I fell ink pad over stamp set (see what I did there?!) in inky love with this set!!  It is called Perennial Birthday and I knew it was a must have!  I absolutely love this style of flower and it has so many combination possibilities and several great sentiments!

I  started by stamping my background piece with some of the flower stamps.  I stamped and stamped off so I would have varying shades. I used Blushing Bride for the large flowers and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.  The small flowers are Pool Party and also stamped off.  The dots are stamped in Smoky Slate and stamped off twice before I stamped them here. I wanted the background to have a nice soft feel to it.

I stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I cut out a slightly larger oval using the Layering Oval Framelits to add behind it.  I stamped and fussy cut the flowers on top and adhered some right to the sentiment and added the others with dimensionals.

I added little white dots using a white gel pen to the scalloped edges of the oval.  I think the little details make all the difference!

Here are all of the goodies I used to make my card today:

Here is our beautiful birthday girl!

Ok, time for me to go.  My To Do list today is very long!!  I hope you have a wonderful day!  I will be back soonest with more to share!!
