Hey there! Are you an animal person? I most definitely am! I have had the pleasure of having many, many wonderful animals in my life over the years. Right now hubby and I live with our current mess of a pooch that we inherited from our daughter (story for another day!). His name is Chewie and he is a Jack Russell/chihuahua mix. He has two modes...he is either sound asleep or wide open and doing 150 mph!! He is a handful, but we have both become quite smitten with him! He is almost 3 years old. Yesterday completely out of the blue he had a seizure. We immediately took him to the vet where they examined him and did blood work. They sent us home not really knowing too much more than we did when we got there. We are just supposed to watch him. Needless to say we haven't let the poor guy out of our site! I think we may be driving him a little nutty. Anyhow, my little card today was inspired by our sweet pooch. You can see a picture of Sir Rules-the-house following the card!
That sweet puppy is from the Bella and Me stamp set. I stamped her and then colored her using the new Blends markers. I cut out the image using Stitched Framelits and then matted it against a Scalloped square from the Layering Square Framelits set.
The background is embossed using the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder. I added a strip of Crumb Cake stamped with the hearts from Heart Happiness and added some Silver Glimmer accent dots using a standard hole punch to make them.
I cut a 1" Circle punch in half and using a marker colored the word 'friend' from a longer sentiment and stamped it on the half circle. I added a teeny little heart from the Cookie Cutter builder punch and tucked it under my focal point. It adds a nice little bit of interest!
Here is Chewie just chillin':

Ok, this day has gotten away from me so I am off to get some things done! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday and I will see you back here soonest!
A great layout you created with that oh so cute stamp. The dry embossing looks really good. IRL, I love that the dog has different colored ears - adorable!
